Castor oil is OK, but may be difficult to remove. it is anti-inflammatory and penetrates tissue well - make it 5% of the carrier blend (1/4 teaspoon per 1 oz).
p.130 - fatty oils are not good base choice for eczema. You can use water based acrylic gel. Another alternative is aloe vera gel or hydrosols such as Myrtle, Lavender or Everlasting.

p.136 Essential oils suppositories
effective for acute and chronic bronchitis - essential oils are absorbed in the abdonimal veins bypass the liver. The oils reach the lower bronchial capillaries in their original lipophilic and volatile state, still capable of eliminating pathogenic organisms and dissolving and expectorating mucus.
Ingested oils are absorbed into the liver. The liver converts them to water soluble forms, which reduces their effectiveness in the lungs.
For suppositories the oils must be 100% authentic, non toxic, and non irritant!

- p.76 - some can be toxic if used wrongly (oils that contain toxic ketone groups - only some ketone groups are toxic). These are: Sage, Mugwort, Thuja, Hyssop officinalis, Lavandula stoechas. 3 drops of any of these can have potential serious toxicity.

- concentration:
start with 1% dilution (7..10 drops per 1 oz (2 table spoons)). Increase to 2% (14 .. 20 drops) if 1% is tolerated well. You can increase even more or reduce the dose if needed. Apply locally (back, feet and lower legs for children, hands, wrists, feet ankles) as frequently (will dry in 1.5 hours) as necessary.

- lavender, ravintsara - no problems to use directly
- mountain savory, needle, citrus oils - can cause/increase inflammation
- dabbing - use Q-tips - apply 5 .. 10 times the first day. Can be used on fever blisters inside mouth (Hyssop decumbens - better taste)
- massive rub - topical application of substantial amount of essential oils. Used for anti-viral effects. 40 .. 50 drops per session, up to 5 sessions per day.
Frequent inhalations increase the effectiveness. Use suppositories for critical cases.
- Angelica Root - 3 drops on solar plexes for better sleep. Photosensitizing!
- Bay Laurel - few drops on lymph nodes
- Roman Camomile
- Everlasting - for cuts, injuries. Foropen wounds - use Helichrysum
- Inula graveolens - apply on heart area. relives constriction and eases breathing
- lavender - mosquito bites, few drops on neck for relaxation
- Katrafay - muscle pain
- Khella - 1 drop on solar plexes and sternum area - ease constriction
- Neroli - 1 drop for anxiety
- peppermint - dubbed on dull injuries. Combine with ice to reduce swelling

- thymus vulgaris (OK) with irritant phenol types of Thyme
- mountain savory
- oregano
- cinnamon leaf
- Mountain savory (1..3 drops)
- thymus vulgaris thymol (1..3)
- oreganum compactum (1..3)
- cinnamon leaf + cinnamon bark (1 drop each per suppository)
- rosemary verbenone. Can be as much as 50% of the blend.
p.139 Suppositories made easy
- cocoa butter (~20g): pure, without mineral oil, petrolatum or paraffin
- base oil (sesame oil) (~10ml)
- 60 drops of essential oils (10 to 20 drops for children)
- optional - add 1 drop of german chamomile. The blue color will help see if the mixture is homogeneously dissolved.
- combine the butter and the sesame oil
- heat gently (double burner is best) until fully liquid
- add the essential oils
- allow to cool
- when the mixture becomes waxy, but not brittle scoop 10 pieces with a teaspoon and roll them in aluminum foil (2x2 inches).
- store in freezer and peel aluminum directly before use
p.141 Essential oils for common ailments
- herpes: tea tree, geranium, eucalyptus radiata
- shingles: (must be non irritant oils and gentle on the skin) - ravintsara (Cinnamomum camphora) + foraha (Calophyllum inophyllum). Reduces severity of subsequent outbreaks. Ravintsara is anti-viral, Foraha stimulates phagocytosis (removing pathogens). Apply directly with Q-tip on the leasions.
- influenza: keep the flu under control and prevent secondary infections; stabilize the body and preventing complications. 1 part castor oil + 5 parts jojoba as a base. 2 drops of each: bay, palmarosa, benzoin, cypress, ginger, eucalyptus radiata, hyssop decumbens, geranium, clove bud, sandalwood, thyme, nutmeg, tea tree.
- fungal infections: oils with terpenoids (targets HMG CoA reductase)
- cystitis: tea tree oil, mountain savory
- antibiotic resistant infections: MRSA blend applied hourly, constitutional hydro therapies, 2x day epsom salt poultice

- allergy relief: tea tree, niaouli (Melaleuca quinquenervia viridiflora (MQV)), tanacetum annuum (morocan chamomile), Pinus sylvestris (cortisone like qualities, decongestant). Blend of 4.5ml MQV, 3..4 drops of peppermint oil - apply 1 ..2 drops on face.
- pain relief: Base - arnica montana (1 part), calendula (1), hypericum (St. John's Wort) (1), rita graveolens (1), symphytum/Compfrey (1) (note: for all so far: infused oil of areal parts; compfrey can be from roots), jojoba (5 parts), castor oil (5ml). Essential oils: bay (2 drops), helichysum (3), clove bud (2), roman chamomile (3), ginger (3), rosemary (3), lavender (3)
- infant colic: german chamomile (2 drops), lavender (3), cardamom (3), fennel (3), ginger (3), peppermint (2): base - 30ml jojoba
- insomnia, shock, grief: base - 30ml jojoba; 2 drops of each: rose, petitgrain, lavender, benzoin, Ylang Ylang, jasmine, neroli, resewood, vetiver
p.152 Essential oils and the skin
- skin injuries: 1% dilution of helichrysum italicum in sesame oil. Can also be used undiluted on wounds. For scar treatment, use 1ml Hlichrysum italicum, 15ml Rosehip Seed oil + 85ml base oil. Use for 1..6 months 1..3 times day directly on scar tissue.
- eczema: St. John's Wort, Solidago canadiensis, abies balsamea, picea mariana
- psoriasis: Base - Carlson vit. E cream - 4oz; Oils - bay (4 drops), lavender (20), carrot seed (5), geranium (5). Optional: 5ml castor oil. The above can be used also for eczema, poison ivy. Adding the MRSA blend (see above) is effective on acne.
- UV damage and melanoma: sandalwood, clove oil (eugenol), frankincense (injected in tumor (horse) and applied topically), thyme (thymus broussonettii - 83% carvacrol, paracymene, gamma-terpinene, transcaryophyllene). In addition: olive oil, omega 3, sesame, sunflower oils. Sesamol for skin papillomas (test on mice).

- cardamom
- german chamomile: also inhibits inflammation, as digestive tonic helps with ulcers, cramping, pains, gas, reduces scar tissue. antibacterial and antifungal.
- ginger: also anti-inflammatory, stimulates digestion, reduces gas
- lavender: healing intestinal tissue, reduces gas, anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, muscle relaxant, reduces high blood pressure, reduces abnormal high heart rate, mild anti-coagulant, anxiolytic, cough relief
- lemon: calming, anti-depressant, reduces gas, stimulant/tonic effect on digestion, anti-spasmodic, aids expectoration, anti-bacterial, anti-septic, anti-viral (limonene), reduces capillary permeability (reduces easy bruising and bleeding), hypotensive, helps with insomnia, helps for liver and kidney detox
- peppermint: pain relief, reduces gas, reduces nause, vomiting, anti-spasmodic, choleretic, cholagogic (bile increase), carminative, analgesic, diaphoretic (increase prespiration), tonic to liver, heart, stomach, pancreas. Anti-viral, anti-malarial, anti-fungal, anti-infection.

- ravintsara - alongside chemotherapy to reduce side effects - sedative, promotes sleep, reduces anxiety, antiviral, stimulates immune system
- greenland moss - reduces vomiting, nausea, detox of kidney and liver, cancer cell apoptosis
- everlasting (helichrysum italicum) - after surgery to reduce hematomas, cheloid scars, lymphatic edemas and preventing fibroid bands after abdominal surgeries. Useful for breast reconstruction, anti-inflammatory, painkilling, antiedematous effect, eliminates old hardened hematomas.
- niaouli (MGV) - reduces lymphatic edemas, stimulates immune response, prevents radio epedermatitis during radiation, reduces breast reconstruction period, anti-infection/bacterial/viral/mycotic

- vomiting and nausea: greenland moss, lemon, rosemary verbenone, juniper - 2 drops each 2x day begining the day after chemo therapy for 3..4 days
- liver complications: greenland moss, lemon, rosemary verbeneno - 3 drops 3x day for 10 days following chemotherapy. Lowers transaminase enzymes of gamma GT.
- ulcers and cancer sores of the oral cavity: bay laurel, carrot seed, tea tree, niaouli, roman chamomile - dilute in wheat germ vegetable oil and apply locally to the aphthas or gargling with calendula tincture. Use along alkaline mouthwash with sodium bicarbonate of 1.4%.
- diarrhea and constipation: basil
- appetite loss and altered sense of taste: tarragon, bay laurel, anise, peppermint, basil - 1 drop per day
- blood cell toxicity: ravintsara, myrrh - 3 drops 2x day for 10 days following the day of chemotherapy
- prevention of infections: ravintsara, thyme thujanol, palmarosa - 2 drops each 2x day for 10 days following the day of chemotherapy
- reducing neurotoxicity: japanese cedar, galbanum, everlasting - diluted with vegetable oil and used with masage
- reducing toxicity of skin and nails: carrot, niaouli - diluted in vegetable oil - massage on nails
- reducing hand-foot syndrome: lavender, tea tree, everlasting
- drug induced acne: tea tree, carrot, everlasting, niaouli
- skin/lip dryness and cracks: jojoba oil; cypress, tea tree, everlasting diluted in vegetable oil

- nose bleed: rock rose - 2..3 drops on cotton wick will stop epistaxis
- hair loss: niaouli, tea tree, everlasting - diluted 10% in vegetable oil
- radiation therapy: niaouli
- wounds and burns: patchouli, rock rose, spike lavender - pure or diluted
- radio epidermatitis: niaouli. can be combined with gargling with tincture of calendula combined with bay laurel, palmarosa, niaouli
- breast radiation therapy: niaouli - apply right after the session, repeat 2..3 hours after. lavender and everlasting hydrosol for pain relief. Patchouli, rock rose, slike lavender diluted in vegetable oils to speed up healing.
- dryness of mouth: tea tree, samphire - dilute with vegetable oil for gargling. Lacto bacilli supplementation.
- radiation therapy of the anal stem: patchouli, niaouli, levender - doluted with vegetable oil to lessen the pain and reduce epithelitis.
- interferon side effects: greenland moss, ravintsara
- fatigue: greenland moss, ravintsara, peppermint
- pain: lavender absolute, saro, everlasting, peppermint - with vegetable oil infused with arnica
